A composition consisting of historic architecture and state-of-the-art fire protection.
The Capitol Music Theatre in Wroclaw has 1200 seats and is one of the cultural attractions of the 2016 European Capital of Culture. Combining old sections of the building, such as the historic foyer, with new building sections was a large-scale architectural undertaking that cost approximately 35 million euros.
Thanks to a D+H smoke extraction solution, this building combines state-of-the-art fire protection, natural ventilation and an extraordinary architectural concept. It was recognised as the most beautiful building completed in Wroclaw in 2013.
The architecture firm in charge of the project was KKM Kozien. 40 ZA Series high-speed drives with integrated BSY+ synchronised electronics are integrated in the NSHEV roof structure. The drives feature a maximum force of pressure of 1,500 N and were specially developed for particularly large windows in glass roofs.
