A new kind of sustainability.
Its large design with dynamic curves and flat, rounded surfaces prompts associations with modern high-speed trains. The corporate headquarters for Austrian Federal Railways were built in a new district that surrounds the main train station in Vienna. Thanks to activation of heat storage masses, consistent use of waste heat and LED lighting, this building equipped with a double box façade has extremely low total energy needs.
KA 34, the chain drive used here for all window types, features microprocessor-controlled motor electronics, can be programmed as needed via PLC and can be used for SHEV and ventilation.
