A new benchmark for workplaces in Lithuania: D+H equips the office complex with extra-quiet window openers.
The k29 business centre in Vilnius is setting an important standard for the working conditions of around 1,250 employees: at this current point in time, only few buildings in Lithuania have features as advanced as those found in k29. The building's oval shape, combined with the central atrium and inclined roof, makes the building an architectural eye-catcher. A contemporary design and interior solutions ensure acoustic comfort in the interior rooms by blocking and absorbing noise. The open architecture of the building features many large windows, creating feelings of well-being and letting natural light in—which prevents dark areas.
The complex is equipped with the very latest building management system. A double-skin façade and exterior blinds contribute to an efficient use of energy resources in the building. The k29 complex has a hybrid ventilation and cooling system that naturally ventilates the offices by opening windows in the inner façade and on the atrium roof. The Lithuanian D+H partner company UAB AUTELA integrated 453 chain drives of the CDC series into the façade window profiles. These window drives, known for their particularly quiet operating noise, are not visible from inside and fit perfectly into the aesthetics of k29's architecture. Sixteen powerful rack and pinion drives of the ZA series were installed on the atrium roof.
